"Shaping Thoughts and Changing Lives for the better"

THE GOLDEN LAND is a memoir of my father’s life, taken from the stories he told his grandchildren. My father always was a storyteller. Before he passed, he sat with his family and we recorded some of his stories. Sometimes the stories were recounted in no particular order, and some of the tapes later proved difficult to hear. With the help of my son-in-law writer, what started as a simple task became a years-long research project and writing effort that resulted in this story of our family’s journey to America. This book is based on my father’s memories. His stories, told from his viewpoint, might differ from stories recounted by others who survived similar journeys. But as a whole, these stories are America – the story of all the immigrants coming here from all the other countries of the world, looking for the freedom to live their own way and make something of themselves. This book could be the story of your family.  I have done my best, and I give you this book with all my love.
