Our publishing information reveals that our partner, The Ingram Book Company, HAS NOT increased the annual title distribution fee it charges RICHER Press. Therefore, the 2023 RICHER Press distribution fee will remain at just $52.00 per year for monthly reporting and $30.00 per year for semi-annual reporting. You can conveniently pay your distribution fee through our secure online payment system, which accepts all major credit and debit cards. Summer 2021 Was A Great Year For Book Sales
Consie Berghausen, a proud member of the author team since 2017, has published six books, with her last three under the RICHER Press imprint. Summers have consistently been a great time for Consie to connect with neighbors and promote her books within her Cape Cod community. Her recent title, Mermaid Seal: A Selkie Tale, launched in May 2021 and has achieved tremendous book sales.
RICHER Press Author Sets Sales Record
Dawn Obrecht joined the RICHER Press author team in 2012 and published her first book with us that same year, titled From the Edge of the Cliff: Understanding the Two Phases of Recovery And Becoming the Person You’re Meant To Be. Her second work, Who's Your Higher Power? Finding a God of Your Own Understanding: Stories From Alcoholics and Addicts I Have Known and Loved, was released in June 2013.
This year, Dawn has set a new RICHER Press record for continuous year-to-year book sales, with her works selling consistently through the RICHER Press distribution channels for the past 108 months. Congratulations to Dr. Dawn for maximizing her literary contributions to support her mission of helping others.
RICHER Press Author Retires
Congratulations to Jim McMechan, who recently announced his retirement on May 31, 2021. With over 30 years of management and ministry experience, Jim is now excited to share his passion for helping individuals reach their God-given potential by focusing on speaking engagements and marketing his new book. He enjoys writing, traveling, and teaching others to embrace the “heart” of God. He and his family currently reside in Mississippi.
RICHER Press Author Releases Her Sixth Children's Book on May 17th
Consie Berghausen, known for her commitment to quality children's literature, is releasing her new work globally on May 17, 2021, just in time for summer fun to enliven the local debate over “Sharks or Seals.” Her latest title, Mermaid Seal: A Selkie Tale, adds a suspenseful twist on classic Celtic mythology set in the lovely town of Chatham, MA.
For this book, Consie collaborates with her two daughters, Chloe and Nina, who take on the roles of co-author and illustrator, respectively. Their collaboration highlights the beauty of Mother Nature and her wildlife. Their whimsically rhymed and vividly illustrated books are crafted to entertain, energize, and educate children aged two to eight, showcasing the latest publishing information from the RICHER Press team.
As a specialty trade publisher, RICHER Press does not ‘invest’ in author advances or purchase the rights to an author's book. However, we do actively invest in our authors, collaborating closely with them to help achieve their personal and professional literary goals, ensuring we provide essential publishing information along the way.

We estimate an average investment of around $4,700 in production and marketing services per engagement, all aimed at professionally publishing each title in a manner that aligns with the book’s full literary and market potential, which ultimately enhances book sales.
We recognize that the full cost of trade publishing, including its inherent quality, detailed attention, and marketing expertise, can be financially unfeasible for many aspiring authors. Nonetheless, serious writers are typically seeking more than just a 'book production house' or a mere 'self-published' book.
